Culminating Challenge
Create a stop motion animation music video for a song of your choice that would be appropriate to play during an Arts Night gathering or other school assembly. The short should use elements of illusion/magic to take advantage of the stop motion photography genre. Some Technical Issues to Consider
- Be sure to set your camera to a low file size
- You will need a 720 pixel X 480 pixel image size at 96 DPI
- You will need to set the camera's white balance setting to custom or Pre (Measure the white balance and set it under each lighting condition)
- Make sure the cameras white balance is not on auto white balance, otherwise you will get flickering during the production
- If you are not sure how to set the white balance read your manual or download your camera's manual or ask
- Experiment with different white balance settings to create the desired mood and tone for your stop motion creation
- Experiment with different levels of artificial light to create a desired mood and tone for your stop motion experiments
- Vary you shots within a scence. Shot variety is important to keep the production visually interesting
- Review you frames to ensure only what you want is in the frame
